FITMENT WARNING FOR 2001 SEA-DOO GTI OWNERS

The 2001 Sea-Doo GTI is a "split-year" model. Sea-Doo changed the hull design mid-way through the production year, meaning two completely different steering cables were used for the same 2001 model year.

Please check your original cable before ordering to ensure you get the correct fit!

How to verify which cable you need:

1. Check the Part Number (Most Accurate)
Look at the white printed text on your original cable's outer sleeve.

If your cable says 277000526 ➔ Buy the 277000526 (Early 2001)
If your cable says 277001474 (or 277000843) ➔ Buy the 277001580 (Late 2001)

2. Measure the Cable Length
If the part number has worn off, remove your old cable from the jet ski and measure it from end-to-end:

Early 2001 Production: Requires cable 277000526. Overall Length: Approx. 88.5 inches.
Late 2001 Production: Requires cable 277001580 (replaces old numbers 277001474 and 277000843). Overall Length: Approx. 87.0 inches.
